Originally released in 1971 by John Peel's Dandelion label, 'Creation' was the second album by underground folk troubadour Trevor "Beau" Midgley, recorded with psych duo The Way We Live/Tractor as his backing group. Influenced by Tom Paxton, Leadbelly and Dylan, Beau started to write his own songs in the late '60s. However, on this album he also experimented with folkrock and experimental/avant-garde elements. 'Creation' is a brilliant psych- and acid-folk offering, with superb 12-string guitars, heartfelt vocals, studio effects and occasional acid-fuzz guitar.
