At the end of 2020 and in the 1st half of 2021 THE YELLOW MELODIES, released three EP's through Discos Imprescindibles. Each EP includes four own songs and a cover of an artist or band they admire. Now is the time to release the album SUNSHINE POP, on vinyl by Old Bad Habits label, Hurrah! Musica and Discos Imprescindibles and on CD by the Canadian label The Beautiful Music. The album will feature the songs from their EPs except for the covers. 'Sunshine Pop' is a remarkable collection of vital songs which stand out for their bright arrangements and for their harmonies of heavenly amplitude very close to perfection. Brilliant melodies, a hedonistic attitude and above all, a lot of pop, charmingly sophisticated pop. The songs on ‘Sunshine Pop’ are true guitar pop hymns, which perfectly define the sunshine spirit of vocal harmonies and string arrangements, brass, keyboards, glockenspiels. Most of the songs are in Spanish, without losing the essence of their sound. THE YELLOW MELODIES are essentially a group of songs. Here you have an impeccable selection of them with lyrics that have a positive aura, as in "It's a good day today", reminiscent of that "Wake up, Boo!" by THE BOO RADLEYS, with some delicious parapapaaaas; or “Dance party”, with a sixty atmosphere, which contrasts with "Ya no sueñas con ganar”. THE YELLOW MELODIES are Rafa Skam on vocals and guitar, Antonio Clares on bass and backing vocals, Carlos Abrisqueta on keyboards and guitars, and José Ángel Hernández on drums, and the songs were recorded into Pepe Moreno’s PM Studio.Norma Hamilton has added powerful backing vocals in these shiny songs full of sunlight, love and youth that will recharge you with positive energies. ‘Sunshine Pop' is a little wonder and these songs are full of sunlight, love and youth, features guitar pop hymns, which perfectly define the sunshine spirit of their musical adventure throughout analogue synthesizers, magical vocal harmonies, trumpets and other colourful arrangements.
