This album is a personal homage to the great baroque composer, Händel, and the music was written for Händel Festival in Halle, 2023.
“Up River” was inspired by motifs from Händel’s Water Music Suite - originally written for King George I’s royal cruise on the Thames in 1717
Handel’s unique ability to write melodies that speak of humanity and emotional landscapes has kept his music alive through generations - a great gift that was passed on to me, and now transformed into a new form by Weavers.
