One of the main things happened during 2023 in the indie world, was the return of one of most important bands of the Scottish indie scene. The story of the Soup Dragons, is really impressive, as they started as a psychedelic punk pop band, they were in one of the most legendary releases ever happened, NME's C86 cassette, and at the end they conquered the world, with their hit "I'm Free". They reformed in 2023, with a new double sided single out, they did their first tour after lots of years, joined by some great friends like the Vaselines, BMX Bandits and the Pastels and a lot of their previous recordings were rereleased or saw the light for first time on vinyl by "Precious Recordings" and "Last Night From Glasgow". After all only a story left unspoken, and we are so glad that we can give life to Sean Dickson's 1st recordings as teenager at the age of 14-15. Young Sean was dreaming in his bedroom in Bellshill, Scotland, of signing to Mute or Factory records, without knowing his bright future. He recorded on a double deck, his first 10 songs, with a Casio mini keyboard and a Roland drum machine. Sean kept this tape since nowadays, when we decided together with Shambotic recordings to give those recordings a proper release. A cassette version of the album will come out by Shambotic recordings. And here it is on vinyl ladies and gentlemen. A cover of a Human League song is included (A Crow and a baby), while all other songs belong to Sean. You will probably recognize some songs, like one of our favorite BMX Bandits songs (Strawberry Sunday). It is based on Sean's Waste Away. Some notes of Sean's great friends, from his childhood are included in the album (Norman Blake and Duglas T Stewart). Don't miss the chance to make this album yours!
The vinyl is limited to 200 copies, on orange vinyl.
