Druid Fluids is the brainchild of front man and songwriter Jamie Andrew, who writes, records as well as performing nearly all parts. Since their inception they have become noted for their impressive audio/visual live shows around Adelaide’s scene and more recently touring nationally. Their songs evoke a depth of emotion that is expressed but not explained. They paint with colours reminiscent of Lennon and Floyd but the sum of these parts is fresh and compelling. Their catalogue of original material honours and evokes the most powerful tones of pop, psychedelia and rock songwriting. Druid Fluids' highly anticipated debut full length LP, Then, Now, Again & Again, is set to be released via Six Tonnes De Chair Records (FRA), Copper Feast Records (UK) & Time Room Records (BE). Featuring live favourites Out Of Phase, Flutter By and Into Me I See, this album is a culmination of 5-6 years of regular Australian tours and Jamie Andrew’s journey as a songwriter in the psychedelic world. Across the album, frontman Jamie Andrew explores a wide range of genres all with a focus on psychedelic, left of field wanderings that takes you from bossanova infused delicacies to full on heavy doom monoliths. The journey of the album sonically, is backed up with the fact that the tracks were recorded over a 5-6 year period with Jamie’s different influences and new musical obsessions all being captured in a psychedelic time capsule. Speaking on the concept behind the album, Jamie says “The concept of this album unravelleditself slowly, ending its spool right at the final stages of recording. I realised that each songserved as a time capsule, though each spoke with a different narrator. Each was telling me thatwho we were, are & will be is ephemeral. These earlier versions of myself now often seemquite alien. The timeline of this album was extensive. The inception of some of these songscame at the age of 16/17 years old; long before the intention of each song came to serve as afragment of this demented mosaic. I was careful to preserve in the editing the person I waswhen I first started writing each song. I’ve felt and learned confidence in innocence and humility in reflection. This album comes off the back of recent singles ‘Sour’s Happy Fantasy’ and ‘Into Me I See’ which saw the band tour the east coast of Australia and appear at festivals including Vintage Vibes alongside King Gizzard & The Lizard Wizard, Babe Rainbow, Middle Kids and more. The SA based psychedelic explorers have quickly built a reputation for electrifying live shows across their multiple Australian tours which have seen them nominated for a SAMA (South Australian Music Award) as well as supporting bands including Wolfmother, Nicholas Allbrook, The Murlocs, ORB and more.
