Fresh off the back of performing for over 100,000 people so far this year, including festival dates at SONAR and Rosklide, a sold out headline live show at KOKO, three sold out shows with the 50 piece Deutsches Symphonie- Orchester Berlin, plus his self-curated DJ tour which saw him play alongside the likes of Leon Vynehall, Axel Boman and Gerd Janson, David August returns to Counter Records with a new 12”.

‘The Spell’ acts as the natural evolution of B side to David’s last Counter Records release, ‘Ouvert’. Propulsive break beat and soaring pads unite over a lush sound carpet of delicately curated noise and field recordings, with the haunting words of strong and mysterious voice echoing her understanding of ‘The Spell’.

‘A Golden Rush’ sees August’s first forays into co-writing, uniting with so far undiscovered Berlin singer songwriter Nelia Kit. Nelia’s voice and lyrics lifting over David’s intricate jamming on guitar and machine.
