Three friends from the Netherlands, with a huge passion for psychedelic music from the 60’s and 70’s, decide to jam together. With Rens Ottink on drums, Eszl du Vois on bass and organ and Brian Pots on guitar and vocals, PAUW is born. For several months they lock themselves up in an old pig barn to create a magical set. In 2014 they record a few demos by themselves in the same barn.
With the EP in their back pocket, they sign up for the “Popronde”. A showcase festival for upcoming acts, that travels through 31 cities over a period of 2,5 months. They play 38 shows, an all-time high in the history of the festival. In the meantime they support Temples and Elephant Stone, play the after-show for Kasabian and make their debut on Dutch radio and television. This is how the Netherlands got to know PAUW in a very short time.
