Radiohead present Hail to the Thief Live Recordings 2003–2009, a collection of performances from London, Amsterdam, Buenos Aires and Dublin, recorded between 2003 and 2009. Mixed by Ben Baptie and mastered by Matt Colton, the album offers a fresh perspective on the band’s sixth studio record.

While working on the stage production Hamlet Hail to the Thief, Thom Yorke revisited archive live recordings of the songs. “I was shocked by the kind of energy behind the way we played. I barely recognised us, and it helped me find a way forward,” he recalls. “We decided to get these live recordings mixed and released – it would have been insane to keep them for ourselves.”

The result is a cathartic document of a band in full flight, reinterpreting material that has since been woven into new creative contexts. Hamlet Hail to the Thief itself was praised by Rolling Stone UK for fusing Shakespeare’s tragedy with reworked tracks from the 2003 album, noting how “these worlds collide so seamlessly, as if they were always meant to be together.”
