Following up on the success of their so far latest album “Morphogenesis” (Metropolis 2022), Paradox Obscur's new Album IKONA explores a broad spectrum of influences primarily through digital hardware synthesizers (Wavetable & FM), largely setting aside analog signals. The exception is the analog-tinged anthem “Like a Freak”.

Maintaining their signature real-time orchestrations and old-school recording process, this album avoids the typical copy/paste DAW workflow. Paradox Obscur continues to carve a unique path, creating music without reliance on virtual tricks. The result is a powerful fusion of electronic energy and uplifting moods, all elevated by Kriistal Ann’s exceptional and expressive vocals. There is no doubt: The Greek Electro project’s sixth album ΙKONA’ is the duo’s most expressionistic work to date, blending sound experiments, wide-ranging electronic influences and deeply personal expression to craft a sonic identity that nevertheless remains distinctly their own. Τhey have once again composed and recorded in real time using synthesisers and drum machine, preserving the classic essence of contemporary electronic music while forging a uniquely timeless aesthetic.

All tracks written and performed by Paradox Obscur, except “Lose this Feeling’, which is originally written by Armin Van Buuren. IKONA is poised to be another standout in Paradox Obscur's discography.
