• Double A-side single, ‘Facety 2:11’ / ‘Like A Drum’ sees Roots Manuva recruit two of electronic music’s most formidable talents, Four Tet and Machinedrum.

• Roots Manuva is one of the most highly regarded figures in UK hip hop and beyond, having previously been nominated for the Mercury prize. Selling well over 400,000 copies of his first two albums alone, The Guardian newspaper described how “his influence is incalculable and he opened the doors for the Streets, Dizzee Rascal et al.”

• ‘Facety 2:11’ is produced by fellow UK maverick Four Tet. ‘Facety’ is patois slang for someone being rude - a barefaced cheek. Infectious hip hop drums and shuddering bass combine with a simply effective melody.

• Another of electronic music’s most exciting voices, NYC producer Machinedrum, provides the beat for ‘Like A Drum.’ Urgent and reflective all at once, its percussion swings gorgeously behind a melody intricately weaved from jazz samples and warm pads.
