<p>Dilankex is a work of opposites – two versions of the same multiple events – a black and white release. <br /> <br />Oberman Knock's original version (white) is a laid-back affair housed within a glassy place of worship, echoing with monastic vocals, strings, wind instruments and field recordings, which are offset by synthetic beats, funk bass and entwined sleazy vocals. <br /> <br />In contrast Autechre's remix (black), panning out at just over 17 minutes long, is everything that you'd expect from the duo – a frantic, fractured and detailed to within an inch of it's life piece, that has no need to build, but instead unravels and mutates into what is an unmistakable Autechre crescendo. <br /> <br />Whilst both versions play out at opposite ends of the tempo spectrum, what connects both is that they are emotional machine music with guts and vigor.</p>
